Certification: Safety

Our comprehensive OH&S Manual contains documented processes and procedures to ensure that our health and safety requirements are addressed at all times. All of Shining Knight Facility Services activities and products comply with legal requirements and our OH&S Manual is available for perusal by clients at any time, as are our OH&S training records for all employees.

All of Shining Knight’s staff are appropriately trained in the use of all equipment and chemicals, and they are supplied with suitable personal protective equipment. Material Safety Data Sheets are laminated and placed at each site, making them available to staff and clients at all times.

All of Shining Knight’s employees and contractors are comprehensively trained by both in-house and external accredited trainers. Our OH&S training and induction programs ensure that all cleaners are fully trained in identifying and preventing potential health and safety issues.

To maintain our record of zero OH&S incidents, Shining Knight will:

• Provide and maintain safe work areas and equipment.
• Review work areas, equipment and work methods to further improve safety, with the belief that all occupational injuries and illnesses can be prevented.
• Provide health and safety training to all employees.
• Only employ contractors who attain the same health and safety standards as us.
• Develop and maintain emergency procedures which will minimise harmful effects in the event of an accident.

Shining Knight works as a team to utilise our combined skills and knowledge to improve safety across all the sites we work at.

All activities conducted by Shining Knight are done so with the health and safety of all employees, contractors, clients and the community in mind. Our commitment to health and safety is as important as our commitment to other business objectives, and is assessed regularly as part of our performance appraisal.
